Trades 27/May/2008

Watchlist:
ABX,AEM,AG,AUY,BCE,BHP,CHL,DRI,FLO,FRO,FTI,FTK,GG,IBN,KGC,
LRCX,MT,NCR,PAAS,RCL,SOLF,STO,TS,UBS

Couldn't find any trades today. I had an order for BCE but it never triggered. CHL was a good mover and would have given an entry on 5 or 10 min timeframe.

The BCE trade you refer to, would that be the 11:15 bar?

Also would you mind explaining your thoughts on CHL. The only thing I really see would be off the 10:00 bar, but the 5 ema is quite far away.

Thanks

pdt..

BCE > yes the 11:15 bar

CHL > I was thinking of 8th bar on 10min chart (a hanging man pullback and also a NR7). Or maybe the 7th bar on the 5 min chart (closed weak and NR7). I don't trade these timeframes but I know some traders who do, so just thought I'd mention it.

Hi TraderAM,

I like your blog very much. Great Job !!!

You mentioned that you had an order for BCE but it never triggered.
What was your entry price on the 11:15 bar which never triggered and what type of order do you use for your trades ?

Thanks,
Javier

BCE > yes the 11:15 bar

Type of Order > Stop Limit

Traderam,
Thanks for your partial answer but my question is: In BCE the 11:15 bar high was 39.19. The 11:00 bar was 39.17 and hammer with 5 ema support. Why you said that did not trigger, if it is 2 cents above previous candle ?
Do you use the same price for STOP amd LIMIT orders ?
Thanks,
Javier

Javier.

My trigger price was 39.21, so it never triggered (use a 4c leeway).

STOP and LMT price depends on the spread. If > 5c then I allow for some slippage (5c). Otherwise I normally have a difference of 2c.
