Well, what a day today. One of the most busiest days I've had for a while. I'll post all my charts and trades in a little while as I need a break right now. I hope you find today's info useful, because it's a bit different. I made some mistakes today and they say you learn more from your mistakes :-).

In fact, I'm glad I made these mistakes..and you may ask why ??
Well, I actually made some good profits today and it was a good a day as I have had recently. I was fortunate in that the mistakes I made were on a day where my other trades did really well and so the impact was lessened. On another day, they could have escalated my losses.

So what were my mistakes ?

1. The market was moving big time and my watchlist was too big because I didn't want to miss out. I didn't do enough work to trim it down enough so it was manageable.

2. As a consequence of 1) I was too rushed trying to go thru all the charts and this meant that I was losing focus. This could easily have had an effect of mis-managing my positions. I did enter a stop order incorrectly, but luckily I spotted it a bit later and rectified it before any damage was done.

3. As a consequence of the above two points, I messed up a Stop position in one of my trades which cost me a loss.

I've had some nice comments about my trading etc..but perhaps I'm not ready to give up my day job just yet...lol

I'll post all my stuff a bit later. In part 2.

If only every day could be like today! Good to hear you did well! Can't wait till you post the charts so I can learn.

Do you mind if I ask what is your profession? Luckily for me I am a software engineer so I am at my computer all day, wondering what other professions have this luxury.
