DRI +$207
PAY +$6
RCL +$56
RIO -$185
A profitable day, but bad trade managment cost me. The PAY trade I got shook out then it went to +1R. The RIO trade cost me a bit in slippage when it stopped out. Purely from mathematical viewpoint, using a +1R as target and -1R as a stop : I would have had three +1R winners and one -1R loss for net gain of +2R.
So, I need to keep consistent in just allowing my stops to be hit and also using proper position sizing for all trades in a given day. The slippage on a stop out is unavoidable, but I may consider moving my +1R partial a bit further out to take into account a couple of cents of entry slippage and to compensate a bit for the losers. Will have a look at some backtests to see if this makes any difference to my bottom line.
