BCS (gap down)


After gap down we have a recovery but it doesn't last long. The 3rd is off the whole number and is an OR breakout. The 4th is recovery, but then the 5th offsets this with OR break again. This is our short trigger. It falls nicely, but still choppy sideways as we go thru the day. Closed in last session near the 1R level. Call it a 1/2R gain for the stats.

No other trades for me today. Have updated the performance table for April, which was another sluggish month. Also I have been reviewing some of my trading recently and in some cases I may have been a bit over-cautious in certain circumstances. So I think I will be looking to trade a bit more in May in terms of number of trades per day and see how that works.

Monday is holiday in UK, so I will be back trading on Tuesday. Have a good one.

CAKE (gap down)

Red first then trend down past OR. Subsequent shallow retrace to the ema. The 8th is red NR7 closing weak and is our short trigger. Closed at +1R.

IR (gap up)

First candle not ideal, but subsequent trend up ema looked promising. The 6th is a NR7 OR breakout closing strong with whole number support. This is our long trigger. Closed at +1R.

LLY (move thru prev day low)

Bearish first followed by bearish subsequent candles with upper tails. The 4th is red closing weak below OR and below whole number. This is our short trigger. Looked good initially, but didn't have enough to get to 1R. Stopped out for a loss a few candles later.

MRO (gap up)

Gap up and trend up past OR high. Then sideways consolidation at OR highs. The 5th is bullish off OR high and ema and is our long trigger. Looked good and it got to 1R, but only briefly and I was only partially filled for a few hundred shares. The rest of position came back to breakeven. So overall call it a breakeven trade for stats purposes. Hard to take sometimes when the one which you picked didn't quite get there, but that's trading.

Bearish first then sideways consol at OR lows. The 4th is gravestone doji type NR3 which closes weak below the OR. This is our short trigger. Closed at +1R

Red first then after OR breakout we get retracement to ema. The 9th is red weak and closes below OR. This is our short trigger. Didn't work out and stopped for a loss.

PBR (move thru prev day low)

Red first then trend down past OR low before we get retracement to ema. The 9th is red NR7 off ema and is our short trigger. Didn't work out and stopped for a loss.

Bullish first then sideways consolidation, The 5th is bullish thru and holding the $60 level and is our long trigger. Closed at 1R gain.
